Think and Grow Rich

Most people believe Think and Grow Rich is a book
about money.

Perhaps they ponder, “Wow! If I read this, then I’ll
learn how to make piles of money magically appear on my
coffee table – just by thinking it!”

In his Master Key to Success series, Napoleon Hill
ranked Financial Wealth way down at number 8 of the 10
things he called “Riches”.

So, why does this book seem preoccupied with the
attainment of money?

Consider Hill’s audience at the time this book was
published. Most of the world was gripped by an Epidemic
Fear of Poverty. This Mass FEAR manifested itself as the
Great Depression.

 

Hill writes of a moneymaking SECRET which appears in
every chapter of this book. “Moneymaking” itself may be
misleading to most, because most people have no idea
how money is made or what gives it its VALUE. I’ll not
discuss this further at this time.

Hill says the SECRET “will jump from the page and stand
boldly before you, IF YOU ARE READY FOR IT!
[The SECRET] cannot be had without a
price, although the price is far less than its value.
It cannot be had at any price by those who are not
intentionally searching for it. It cannot be given
away, it cannot be purchased for money, for the reason
that it comes in two parts. One part is already in
possession of those who are ready for it.”

Why does Hill not just SPELL OUT the SECRET?

First, there is a PROCESS each individual must
experience before they are ready – each at their own
pace.

Secondly, words are inadequate to describe unspeakable
concepts – and words mean different things to diverse
people.

Some folks have written about Hill’s HIDDEN SECRET,
but, again, their words cannot adequately express what
You must discover for Yourself.

A HINT: Your brain has two hemispheres. While most
people use only one side most of the time, You must
find a balance between BOTH halves to receive the
SECRET. If You are a left-brained analytical person,
then You must learn PASSION and COMPASSION. If You are
a right-brained creative-emotional type, then You must
learn ORGANIZATION and PERSISTENCE.

This is what we mean by getting concepts from Your head to
Your Heart – and from Your heart to Your head!

ANOTHER HINT: Pay close attention to the words and
phrases Hill wrote in ALL CAPS.

TRUTH CANNOT BE TAUGHT,
IT CANNOT BE BOUGHT,
TRUTH MUST BE DISCOVERED!
